Ed Gehringer started using peer-assessment applications in 1997. He developed a system called PG, and later Expertiza. Expertiza was awarded two CCLI/TUES grants, and has been used by about 35 instructors at 18 universities and 0colleges. He is the founder of the PI Forum on Peer Assessment (2013), and the lead PI of the 5-campus PeerLogic project, which is creating web services to be used by peer-assessment systems.

Ferry Pramudianto received the Master’s and Doctorate degrees from RWTH Aachen, Germany, in 2009 and 2015, respectively. During his graduate studies, he specialized in distributed computing, human–computer interaction, and the Internet of Things. He has more than seven years of experience in European projects, during which he has led three multinational teams, organized technology transfer workshops, and held presentations in international conferences, as well as for european commission.  He is currently with the North Carolina State University in Raleigh. His main research area includes Peer Assessment, Learning Analytics, Service-Oriented Architecture, and Internet of Things. He is also an Internationally Certified Requirement Engineer (CPRE) and Project Manager (PMP).

Yang Song is a Ph.D. student at NC State University. His research is mainly on educational data analysis, educational data mining, systems and algorithms for computer-supported education. As a member of the PeerLogic project, he also works on designing a data sharing mechanism which facilitates data sharing between different educational peer-review systems. In his spare time, he is also a fisherman and photographer.
